Frames

This section contains all versions of MPC frames and lists the most important specs. Scroll down for earlier models.

V6.1 (2025)

Same as V6, with two differences:

  • no possibility to mount a rear disc brake
  • straight seat stays

V6 (2023)

Material 7020 T6 aircraft aluminum, TIG-welded
Weight 1800-2100 g (depending on size)
Headset 1 1/8″ Ahead (SHIS EC 34/28.6 – EC 34/30)
Bottom bracket BSA/british thread, width: 73 mm
Seatpost Ø 31.6 mm
Seatpost clamp Ø 35 mm
Rear hub compatibility 135 mm hub spacing, 10 mm axle, quick release
Wheel size Depending on frame size, see geometry table
Dropouts Sliding, 15mm travel (derailleur hanger or disc-brake dropouts available)

V5 (2018-2023)

Like V4,  but with stronger chainstays.

700c frames (2014-2017)

Build for a limited time only. Very similar to normal track frames, with 120 mm rear spacing and a rather “normal” geometry, just stronger than most track frames. Several different versions, some built from Columbus MTB tubing (too weak), some with the same tubes as the other polo frames. Ultimately, these frames were discontinued because they we’re not too different from other off-the-shelf products from big brands, but a bit more expensive.

V4 (2014-2017)

S-bend chainstays instead of the previously used CNC yoke. Thicker top tubes. Known weakness: chainstays.

V3 (2012-2013)

Almost identical to V2, with some adjustments: CNC dropouts, slightly shorter top tubes. Addition of the XL size (700c wheels). Known weakness: top tube.

V2 (2011)

First small batch of 11 frames. Sizes XS-L, 26″ wheels only. Disc brake and canti brake mounts. CNC yoke and watercut dropouts. Very long top tubes. Known weaknesses: top tube, dropouts. 

V1 (2011)

First prototype, build from leftover tubing and random MTB parts. The top tube was way too short, so I had to make a Frankenstein seatpost to reach a comfortable position on the bike.

All MPC frames share the following properties:

Single QR dropout V2 (2015-2023)

Super tough and still pretty light CrMo forks. 700c version is still available: Polo Forks 700c

Rotor Guards

Here’s an unsorted collection of many different designs, starting in 2010, continuously updated until 2025. Mostly laser cut from 5 mm aluminium. Earlier models used 3 mm material thickness (too weak). Some designs consist of multiple parts welded together for extra stiffness.
